This paper discusses the application of econometrics in the international development strategy of emerging
economies. Firstly, the principles and methods of econometrics and the current status of international development
research are introduced, and then the main dimensions and objectives of the international development strategies of
emerging economies are analyzed, including trade, investment, industry, and finance. The specific application examples of
each dimension are displayed in detail, and the challenges and coping strategies faced by the application such as data,
models, and external shocks are analyzed. The research shows that although econometrics is challenging, it is of great
significance for the formulation and adjustment of emerging economies' strategies, providing strong quantitative support
and decision-making basis for their sustainable development in a complex international environment, and helping to
enhance their international competitiveness and development potential.
