Despite the abundance of academic research examining the role of an enterprising spirit among corporate
employees，there has been a paucity of research exploring the impact of such a spirit among college students.Accordingly，
this study aims to examine the influence of enterprising spirit on the academic performance of college students in higher
education. The study employed a snowball sampling technique to collect data from 317 Chinese public university students
over two phases.Structural equation modeling was utilized for hypothesis testing. The study's findings demonstrated a
positive correlation between college students' enterprising spirit and academic performance，with perceived knowledge
hiding acting as a mediator between the two.Additionally，perceived teacher support was identified as a moderating factor
in the relationship between perceived knowledge hiding and academic performance. This study contributes to the existing
literature on college students' enterprising spirit and knowledge hiding in Chinese higher education institutions，integrating
theoretical insights to elucidate further the pathways and boundaries of college students' enterprising spirit and academic
performance. The findings have practical implications for Chinese higher education institutions.
