Modern new-style villages are playing an increasingly functional role in China’s retirement and tourism
industry，which leads to the expansion of noise pollution from the city to the countryside. While little consideration is
given to the sound environment of residential areas in rural planning，the demand of residents for sound environment
quality improvement is increasing. In this paper，based on the impact of water-rich rural landscape planning on noise
distribution，sound environment quality in villages is studied with noise mapping generated through the RAYNOISE
simulation platform and field noise measurements to directly reflect the changes in noise distribution before and after the
village planning optimization.A typical village of Jiandong in Lishui，Nanjing，is selected in this study. This paper shows that
the average sound pressure level of the field noise measurements is 55.4 dB（A），and the PN index （Noise Pollution index）
is 0.74，which is usual in Jiandong village on weekdays.Technical solutions such as the optimization of village roads and
water system distribution have a certain impact on the sound environment quality.Through the optimization of the village
water system，the sound pressure level at the monitoring points near the water bodies can be reduced by 3-10 dB
compared to the actual measured value of the current situation. It is also shown that measures such as road improvements
and greenery adjustments are effective in improving the sound environment’s quality
